According to a report released by TrendForce on June 13, the combined revenue of the world's top ten fabless IC design companies in the first quarter of 2025 increased by approximately 6% quarter-on-quarter, reaching a record high of $77.4 billion.

Among them, NVIDIA, leveraging its leading position in the AI data center field, achieved a revenue breakthrough of $42.3 billion in the first quarter, marking a 12% quarterly increase and a 72% annual increase. This accounted for 55% of the total revenue, maintaining its top position.

The second-ranked company is Qualcomm, with a first-quarter revenue of $9.47 billion. Due to the decline in the mobile phone business affected by the off-season, coupled with the potential impact of the increasing proportion of Apple's self-developed chips, Qualcomm's overall revenue decreased by 6% quarter-on-quarter.

With its deep investment in AI network connectivity solutions, Broadcom achieved semiconductor revenue of $8.34 billion in the first quarter, representing a 15% year-on-year increase and ranking third.

AMD ranked fourth, with a revenue of $7.44 billion in the first quarter, a decrease of 3% quarter-on-quarter, but still a 36% increase compared to the same period in 2024.

MediaTek ranked fifth with a revenue of US$4.66 billion in the first quarter, driven by the increasing demand for its Dimensity 9400+ and Dimensity 8000 series from Chinese Mainland smartphone customers, as well as the increase in the average selling price of smartphone SoCs.

Realtek's revenue increased by 31% quarter-on-quarter to over US$1.06 billion, driven by increased inventory for PC customers, higher penetration of Wi-Fi 7, and growing demand for automotive Ethernet.

Oway Group (Weier Stock) experienced a 2% decrease in revenue to USD 730 million in the first quarter due to the off-season for smartphones. However, the company made significant progress in the fields of image sensors and automotive electronics.
